Do you crave to make an Indian meal each day? or are you like me, who likes a little variety here and there?? I enjoy variety in my menus, just to keep things interesting. My life is boring enough, my meals don't have to be!Here's one such easy recipe for "Stir Fried Noodles and Veggies" for those days or evenings when eating "roti-sabzi" is the last thing on your mind!
You will need:
- Chopped fresh veggies: Broccoli, Snap peas, spring onions, cabbage, carrots- whatever you have on hand.
- 3 cloves garlic
- Sesame oil, about 1/2 tsp or more
- Olive oil, about 2 tsp
- Soy sauce, about 2 tbsp
- Red pepper flakes- to whatever "heat" level you like (optional)
- 1 box thin spaghetti or Chinese Noodles
Directions
- Cook pasta; set aside
- In the mean time, heat olive oil and sesame oil in a large pan or wok
- Add garlic, saute. Add red pepper flakes.
- Add all veggies and saute 2 min.
- Add soy sauce.
- Add the noodles and toss!
Serve hot.
Yes.. I do crave for something other than dal-chawal. I try to make different dishes at least once or twice a day. Your noodles look simple and healthy.
ReplyDeleteTrupti I almost guffawed at "my life is boring enuf...." You echo the feelings of so many like us who are emotional eaters. Yeah this stir fry is something which even I make quick and easy. Last time I sprinkled a bit of peanut powder on the noodles, it gives nice nutty flavor.

ReplyDeleteYay!! I've been in the mood for noodles and a quick stir fry is just the thing. You are awesome and this looks yummy. I'm with you on mixing up the dishes - wish I could be content with just dal-rice, coz I find that the easiest thing to cook. And for the person above who asked about no salt in the recipe - the soy sauce is the salty agent and should give enough flavor without having to add more salt.
ReplyDeletethis look great for a change in a routine menu! id defenitely add the sriracha, i love it!
ReplyDeletesimply love the combo of noodles and stir fry veggies
