Little Chefs In the Kitchen Event Details

Thank you ALL so much for your positive feedback on this event. This is going to be a fun way to get your kids, nephews, nieces, etc... involved in the kitchen. Those of you who don't have kids-yet, no worries! Get hubbies to help! ( you know who you are!)

Here are the guidelines:

-Make something that is easy for the kids to help you with...no restrictions at all, it could be anything- drink, dessert, main dish, snack, its up to you.
- Take a picture that shows little hands, arms, elbows...you get the drift , no faces (for privacy reasons) helping you make the recipe.
- If your kids are too young or you don't have any, just submit a recipe that is "kid-friendly". Fair enough?
-Attach a picture, a perma-link of the recipe, initials of the Little Chef and mail it to:

spicewholovedme@yahoo.ca

The Deadline is : February 20th, 2007

Have Fun!- that is the most important guideline of all!

Any questions, comments, email me directly.

Hi Trupti, Just read last couple of posts that I had missed ( was down with flu). Great idea to involve kids in cooking.

Ishi keeps asking me if she can help me and I always turn her away. But may be I will try to get her and Aman involved and see how it goes. will mail you the pic as I don't have a food blog :-)

GET TO KNOW: BLACK CUMIN SEEDS

black cumin seeds = royal cumin seeds = kala jeera = shahi jeera = saah jeera Pronunciation: KUH-min Notes: Indian cooks use this spice in many of their curries and tandoori dishes. It's darker and sweeter than ordinary cumin. To bring out its nutty flavor, it helps to toast the seeds briefly before using them. Substitutes: cumin (Not as sweet as black cumin.) OR nigella
